I Don't Think Being an Adult is Going to Work for Me

The picture at the top of the page is where I'm camped right now. It's hard to see my motorhome but look closely.

I've given it some thought, and I don't think this adult thing is going to work for me.

On second thought, if I'm not going to be an adult, I should go play in the river that's three feet in front of my motorhome. That's what the kids who are camped a few campsites over from me are doing this morning. The water is cold as ice and they are already wet from head to toe, and turning blue, but they're having fun.

I think turning blue stopped being fun for me a long time ago. Maybe I want the best of both worlds.

Being a kid means that:

  • You can be irresponsible

  • You can throw caution to the wind

  • You don't have to think things through

  • Having fun can by your highest priority

When you're living the RVing lifestyle, you're not really doing those things, but a lot of people (probably most of your friends) think that's what you're doing, and that's how they think you're acting.

Bottom line: If you're thinking that this being an adult thing is not going to work for you, maybe you could consider being a kid again. Or better yet, try to have the best of both worlds. If you're living in an RV, you're well on your way achieving this goal.
