Life in 2020

This year shouldn't count

Like the people in the boat, I don't feel like I was in control of anything this year.

I feel like I was just along for the ride.

I have a birthday coming up next month, but I don't think I should have to be considered a year older. I didn't do anything this year.

Or maybe it's just the opposite. Sometimes I feel like I've aged 10 years.

With age comes wisdom, but I don't feel any smarter. I don't know if I learned anything this year or not.

Maybe 2021 will go back to normal. If not normal, at least, not be so crazy. We've got to have some relief.

When I have time, I'm going to write a book, said a lot of people

It looks like they did. The woman who designs many of my book covers said she had had a busy and crazy year. The guy who proofreads my books said he had had a hectic year also.

So it looks like many people who said that when they had time, they were going to write a book really did write their books this year.

A year of extremes

It's been a year of extremes for sure. Nothing seems to have been normal.

I wrote one book from concept to finished book (including the cover design) in two weeks. I worked on another book for 10 months, and it's still not finished. Sometimes my brain was working, and sometimes it wasn't.

Bottom line: We're not out of the woods yet, but with the vaccines, it looks like we're about to get there. It sure would be nice if 2021 could be a normal year.
