What a difference a day makes
I don't think Dinah Washington was thinking about snow and beaches when she was singing the song, What a difference a day makes, but who knows, maybe she was.
I left Banner Elk, NC last Friday and the area was covered with snow.
Below are some shots showing what the campground in Banner Elk looked like when I left
When I was connecting the safety chains on my tow car, I had to crawl under the car and was laying on top of the snow.
My 750-mile trip down to Cedar Key, Florida took a little over 24 hours (including stops and spending the night on the road). I spend the night in a Walmart parking lot in Brunswick, GA (just south of Savannah, GA).
Anyway, it was a big change from the time I left the NC mountains on Friday morning until I arrived in Cedar Key, FL Saturday about noon. I was thinking about Dinah Washington's song as I pulled into the campground here.
To answer the question, What a difference a day makes, take a look at the picture below and you decide.

The forecast for Asheville, Banner Elk, and the NC mountains is calling for 16 to 18 inches of snow tonight. The forecast for here is calling for it to drop all the way down to 64 degrees tonight. I'll survive.
