Five best Internet businesses

Five best Internet businesses

If you're going to live in an RV, you need to have an Internet business.

Even if you don't need the money, making money on the Internet can be a fun hobby.

Five online businesses you should consider

1. Write a non-fiction book: I've written 16 books. I wrote some of my best-selling books five or six years ago, and they still bring in money every month. Some of my books bring in over $1,000 a month and some less than $100 a month. The best part is that I do the work one time, and the books continue to sell month after month and year after year.

I wouldn't recommend that you start out writing a fiction book. A good fiction book will make more money than a non-fiction book, but it could take you six months to a year to write a fiction book.

My last two books took me less than 30 days from when I wrote the first word until I had a printed copy of the book in my hand. To write fiction, you have to know how to write dialog, developed characters, develop the plot, etc. You can learn all of these things, but it takes time. In other words, your first book should be a non-fiction book.

Here are links to two gurus on YouTube who provide a lot of useful information about self-publishing.

2. Produce an online course: I haven't produced any online courses yet, but I'm looking into it. I write and sell a how-to book for $3.99, but if I had a few videos and put the information in the form of a course, I could sell the same information for $299 to $399.

3. Produce YouTube videos: If you want to make money on YouTube, don't try to learn everything the hard way. Several gurus on YouTube will show you how to make money by producing videos and posting them on YouTube.

Here are two that I recommend:

Here's one point to keep in mind. When writing books, you can write one and then wait a month or a year before writing another one. With YouTube videos, you can't do that. You have to post a new video every week to grow your channel and keep your subscribers.

4. Affiliate Marketing: I don't do much with Affiliate Marketing, but I plan to be doing more shortly. In fact, I think the only affiliate link I have on my website is the Obliss.com link shown above. I only plan to start using affiliate links more to products I use and believe in.

5. Sell items on Amazon using FBA (fulfilled by Amazon): I've been using Amazon FBA for several years. I ship products to Amazon every month or so, and they take care of collecting the money, and processing, and shipping the orders. They deposit money in my account every month.

There are a lot of other ways to make money online. These are the five that a lot of RVers use and the ones I would recommend.

When you have an Internet business generating passive income, you're free to travel in your RV (or even travel internationally). One great thing about the process is that you can wake up every morning, and while you're enjoying your morning coffee, you can check and see how much money you made while you were sleeping.

Bonus money-making endeavor

This is not passive income. It's a job. You can get paid $16 to $20 an hour to teach English online. The requirements are that you have a bachelor's degree (in anything), have English as your primary language, and be available to start work early (by 6:30 a.m. Eastern time for most of the jobs) because you will mainly be teaching kids in China in their evening time.

Here are two companies to work for if you want to teach English online.

  • VIPkid.com. Forbes ranked this company as one of the top companies to work for.

  • DaDa.com
Bottom line: Decide on one or two of these niches and then do your homework. Watch several YouTube videos to learn how to make money in that niche. After you've learned from all of the free YouTube videos, then consider signing up for a course from one of the experts you trust. Find someone successful doing what you want to do, and then follow what they're doing. I don't mean you should copy them but follow their technique and advice.
