Snowbird or Tweaty bird RVer?

I intentionally misspelled Tweety Bird™ and this image is not really Tweety Bird.

This picture is as close as I could get to the real thing and still use an image that was free for the public to use.

I think the picture is a picture of one of his cousins.

Maybe the real Tweety Bird doesn't even have a lawyer, but I didn't want to take a chance on misusing his trademark and getting him mad at me. If you've seen many of his cartoons, you know he can be quiet ruthless at times.

Let's get on to the topic of RVing

I was watching Liz Wilcox's live program, Virtual Campground, recently (and by the way, Liz's video podcast is live for one hour every Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. EDT at https://TheVirtualCampground.com).

Anyway, recently someone on her program mentioned that they were not snowbird RVers. They were more like Tweety Bird RVers. They keep a home base and flutter around RVing for a few weeks or months and then they come back to a home base or basecamp.

A lot of people like the idea of having a basecamp. Eric and Brittany at http://rvwanderlust.com sold their Class A motorhome a while back and recently bought a Class C motorhome and named it "Basecamp." Now when they're out running around, they can say, "Let's go back to Basecamp." That has a nice ring to it.

I think being Tweety Bird RVers describes the way a lot of people live the RVing life. You don't have to be living full-time in an RV to enjoy all that the lifestyle has to offer.

There's no wrong way to RV

I think there are a lot more Tweety Bird RVers than there are full-time RVers and maybe even more than snowbird RVers. But who cares. It doesn't matter. RV the way that suits you, and then change the way you RV anytime you want to.

You probably quit worrying about what people think about how you live your life back when you decided to start living the RVing lifestyle. If you're an RVer, you already know that you're a member of a somewhat weird group. You're fun-loving, a little unconventional, you can make a decision, and you've decided to enjoy life.

Bottom line: If you've been putting off taking the plunge and living the RVing lifestyle because you didn't think you fit the mold of a typical RVer, just remember that we RVers are unique animals. You might say that we're a weird bunch that makes a lot of our own rules. Go for it. Enjoy the RV lifestyle and do it your way.
