Finding Your RV Rythm
You don't have to decide on an RV rhythm before you hit the road, but you'll probably settle into one sooner or later.
Also, your rhythm will probably change from time to time. That's one of the big advantages of living the RVing lifestyle. You have the freedom to change the way you live your life any time you want to make a change.
Most people who are considering living full-time in an RV dream of traveling all over the country. Some people want to visit every state. Some plan to visit every National Park. Some people plan to do a lot of boondocking, and some don't plan to do any boondocking.
All of these plans are fun, enjoyable, and interesting. But also, they're all changeable.
Before I started living full-time in my motorhome, I traveled every week with my job. I traveled for 50 weeks out of the year, and I did this for almost 20 years. In other words, I'm like the country singers Hank Snow and Johnny Cash when as they say in their song, "I've been everywhere."
Even though I've been to many places, there is a lot I haven't seen in those places. Still, I don't have as much of a desire to travel all the time as most RVers do. I've settled into a rhythm of spending two, three, or even four months in one place. And sometimes I go back to the same place next year.
I spend a few months in the North Carolina mountains during the summer and fall months. Then I go to a beach in Florida or Texas for a few months in the winter months. And for the last several years, I have been going to Costa Rica for three to six months during the winter and spring (not in my motorhome).

Bottom line: If you're not living full-time in an RV, remember that you are one decision away from living a totally different life. And that life can be whatever you want it to be. And best of all, you can change your life anytime you want to.
