Are RVers more likely or less likely to get COVID?
I like new beginnings, and 2022 will, for sure, be a new beginning for RVing.
In the last two years, many things have made continuing to (or starting to) live the RVing lifestyle less than an ideal. Maybe it's made you question the whole idea of living this lifestyle--full-time or part-time.
Will the world ever be normal again?
A lot of people talk (or dream) about the world getting back to normal. It may never get back to normal, at least not the old normal. It will get to normal, but it will be a new normal.
I've had both shots and a booster shot. If they come out with scientific data showing that an additional shot would be helpful, I'll take that too. It may even be like a flu vaccine where you need another shot every year. At this point, we don't know.
Vaccines don't always work
It's been proven that vaccines don't always work. Parachutes don't always work either, but if I'm going to jump out of an airplane, I want one. The advantages of having a parachute (even though it might not work) outweigh the disadvantages of not having o
In addition to vaccines, one of the best things you can do to protect yourself from the devastating effects of COVID is to be healthy. Eat healthy foods, take vitamins, lose weight (if you're overweight), get plenty of sleep, and by all means, get plenty of exercise. I try to do all of these things.
You probably won't be able to fix all of your health problems, but most of us can do way more than we're doing to be healthier.
I'll get off of my soapbox
When you're RVing, you're not around people (unless you choose to be), and even then, you're usually outside with plenty of space between you. You're in complete control of your surroundings.
It's a new world and a new normal
Here are some pictures of RVers enjoying the freedom of the RVing lifestyle.
They're enjoying life and are much less likely to come down with COVID than people living a conventional lifestyle. And for sure, they're having way more fun.
Bottom line: When you look at the facts, living the RVing lifestyle (full-time or part-time) is one of the best ways to enjoy life while staying away from the dangers of coming down with COVID.
Having concerns about COVID is why you should be living the RV lifestyle and not a reason to avoid living and traveling in an RV.
