You love your one-horse-town, but . . .

You're excited and ready to discover the world, but you're a bit scared.

Hopefully, this article's quotes, comments, and observations will ease some of your fears.

Does the look on the little girl's face in the picture remind you of how you feel when you think about living full-time in an RV?

If you've read any of my books, you know that I start each chapter with a quote. Some are inspiring, and some are funny, but I think they are all thought-provoking.

In this article, let's start with a quote that describes how we've all felt at one time or another.

"I'm going to leave this one-horse town as soon as it's my turn to ride the horse."

Most people never actually say it in those words, but they sure do dream about it. Most people never dare to do it, but RVers do. Have you ever felt this way?

Here are three more quotes I like.

Live your life so you can say, 'when I grow up, I want to be just like ME,'" ~ Anonymous

"Adventure is worthwhile in itself." ~ Amelia Earhart

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. ~ Mae West

The previous quotes are some of the many that I like, but . . .

Here's one phrase the irks me

I'm talking about the phrase, "To be honest." People use it all the time, and every time I hear someone utter those words, I want to ask them, does that mean that everything you've said until now has been dishonest? Have you been lying to me all this time?

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox.

Bottom line: I'll sum this article up by saying, "To be happy, you have to make your own decisions and grow your own daisies."

P.S. On to another topic. When I get back to the U.S., I have a whole long list of repairs, modifications, and upgrades I want to do to my motorhome. I'll be posting articles with pictures, details, costs, and descriptions. You may even find some of these that you want to do to your R.V.
