If your Dr. prescribed a lifestyle change
What if your doctor prescribed a lifestyle change instead of pills to cure what's wrong with you?
Stress lowers your immune system, and then all kinds of things can happen to you. Many of your health problems might disappear if you start living a stress-free life.
Even if you're already living in an RV, you may still be experiencing stress. Think about what you can do to eliminate stress from your life. Living in an RV is one way to reduce stress in your life, but it's only part of the solution. It would help if you could change how you think about and deal with things in your life.
Ask yourself if you're truly happy living your present life
Many people don't want to ask themselves this question because they already know the answer, and if they answer truthfully and say they're not happy, that answer would more or less require them to make changes in their life. Making changes in your life takes courage and gets scary.
I fall in love with almost every place I camp, especially if I stay there very long. Maybe it's because I spent time picking out the places I want to camp, or perhaps it's because I could be happy almost anywhere.
Do you need to be around people?
When I was in Costa Rica earlier this year for a few months, I stayed up in the mountains. The nearest town was about seven miles down the mountain. A guy who moved into an apartment nearby asked me one day. "What do you do all day?"
Two weeks later, he left and moved back to an apartment in downtown San Jose. Some people are not happy unless they're around people.
When you're living in an RV, you can be all by yourself, or you can be surrounded by people. It will be your choice, and best of all, you can change day to day.
I always have way more to do than I can ever get done. I like to spend a lot of time by myself. I like to read, write, watch YouTube videos, and hike in the mountains. I like being by myself, but it's not a lifestyle that everyone would like.
It's important to push yourself to try new things. It's scary sometimes, and you must overcome fear, but it's worth it.
When things go wrong, it's not because the world is out to get you. The world is just happening, and you're in it, riding along.
When you're living the RVing lifestyle, you learn the art of letting go. Letting go of plans, people, places, and dreams. You learn to go with the flow and trust the madness of traveling and living on the road.
Bottom line: Freedom is when you have nowhere to be, no one to meet, and no plans. It's just you and the open road, and I love it. Think about whether a lifestyle change would solve some of your problems.
