RV repairs and modifications
You can't always relax in your RV and look at a beautiful view like the one above.
Sometimes you have to spend time fixing things.
If you like to fix things, owning an RV is a good idea because there's always something that needs to be fixed.
If you don't like to fix things, there's still always something that needs to be fixed.
I have one more month to be here in Costa Rica
I've been productive while I've been here. I've written two books, and they will both be published this month.
In mid-July, I'll fly back to Knoxville, TN, pick up my car at my son's house, and drive to Florida to get my motorhome that I've been storing on a friend's farm.
Then, I'll take a couple of days and drive it to the NC mountains near Banner Elk, NC.
Hopefully, I won't have to do much to it to get ready for my trip, but that's probably wishful thinking. I'm sure I'll need to air up some tires, and I may need to charge some batteries.
When I get to my campground in NC, I have a long list of things I want to repair and a list of modifications I want to make. I'll be a happy camper if I get everything on the two lists taken care of by the end of August.
Most of the time, when something on an RV needs to be fixed, it doesn't have to be done immediately.
Some things can't be put off
Water leaks, brakes, and tires usually have to be taken care of immediately, but most other repairs and modifications can be put off for weeks and even months.Maybe that's why my two lists are so long. I've been putting off a lot of non-urgent repairs and modifications for way too long.
I won't bore you with everything on my two lists, but maybe as I start fixing things, I post an article about the repairs. I'LL BE ONE HAPPY CAMPER when I get everything taken care of.
I've been putting some things on both lists off for over a year, but now I want to buckle down and get everything fixed. In a way, I'm looking forward to fixing things. Maybe I should say I'm looking forward to having everything taken care of.
Bottom line: In a way, I like working on my RV. It's kind of like a hobby. It always feels great after I get something taken care of. What type of repair projects have you been putting off?
