Doing computer work in a coffee shop

Sometimes, doing work on your computer in a campground can be a productive endeavor.

But, as we all know, campground Wi-Fi can be the pits.

It's usually okay if you want only to check your email, but if you want to upload a YouTube video or do anything else that requires a fast, stable, and reliable Wi-Fi connection, most campgrounds are not a good solution.

A coffee shop can come to your rescue

Most coffee shops are unique. Maybe a lot of Starbucks coffee shops have a similar theme, but I don't go to those. I like the individually owned coffee shops. They have a more local and unique vibe.

Sometimes, there will be people talking, but most of the time, I've found them to be quiet. If there are people talking, I can tune it out and treat it like white noise or move to a different section.

As you can see from the two pictures in this article, coffee shops come in all shapes and sizes. That's one of the many things I like about them. When I'm in a new town, one of the things I look forward to doing is checking out a nearby coffee shop.

Note: The campground I'm camped at now has exceptionally fast and stable Wi-Fi, but that's unusual. I've been able to be on hour-long Zoom calls with no problems.

Bottom line: If you've read any of my previous articles about doing computer work in coffee shops, you know I'm biased. I'm productive and creative when I'm in a coffee shop. If you haven't tried working in a coffee shop, give it a try. I think you'll find it to be a pleasant and productive experience.
