The interesting RVers you meet
When you're RVing, you're surrounded by RVers who have done more exciting things than you could ever imagine.
The little old man or woman sitting outside their RV reading a book that no one is talking to may look like they would be a boring person to talk to.
You might think that maybe all they would want to talk about would be their aches and pains or their grandchildren.
But you might be surprised at the lives they've lived and the things they've done and experienced in their lifetime.
Here are some examples of interesting RVers I've met
Yesterday afternoon, I was walking around the campground, and I saw an old man sitting outside his RV playing a banjo. Since I like to play the banjo, I stopped and talked to him. I found out a lot about him. He was 82 years old. He used to be an airline pilot flying for Pan Am. He played banjo with the legendary Father of Bluegrass Music, Bill Monroe.
Another time, I was talking to a little old man sitting outside of his RV, and I found out that he used to fly Air Force One. The many tales he could tell were fascinating.
I've found that when you get beyond the small talk and show a genuine interest in people and what they have to say, you can find out that many old people have done some amazing things.
Note: I was searching Pexels.com for free photos of "banjos and bluegrass music" for this article. I was shown pictures of pianos, accordions, and blue cars. I searched for pictures of the Father of Bluegrass music, Bill Monroe, and no pictures were shown. I searched another site and finally found the picture shown at the top of this page.
Bottom line: Take the time to talk to the older RVers, and I think you'll be surprised at what they've done and the interesting lives they've lived. Don't expect them to start telling what they've done immediately. You have to ask questions and show a genuine interest in them before they open up and go beyond small talk.
