RVing with COVID
Driving my motorhome from Florida to the North Carolina mountains while battling COVID has been rough.
I caught COVID two years ago, and now I have it again. I thought COVID was more or less a thing of the past, but obviously not.
I don't have any symptoms of COVID except having zero energy. I went to two different doctors and tested positive for COVID, but neither of them gave me anything to treat it.
They both said the treatment for COVID was hard on the liver and I should just treat the symptoms. But I don't have any symptoms--except I barely have enough energy to lift a coffee cup.
You might think it doesn't take a lot of energy to drive a motorhome, but getting everything connected and getting a car loaded on the dolly takes energy.
Things always go wrong when RVing
My trip from Florida to the North Carolina mountains was going fine until a tire blew out on the dolly.
It's hard to change a tire on the dolly without energy. I called my roadside assistance, but after two hours, they said they didn't have anyone available to come out and put the spare on the dolly.
I did the only logical thing I could do. I spent the night in the motorhome and got enough energy to change the tire myself the following day.
Oh well. Now, I have my motorhome parked next to the river at about 4,000 feet in the cool mountains, and all is well.
Bottom line: Last week, I said I would have a major announcement in this week's article, but it was a rough, tiring week, and I want to give this new information the attention it deserves, so I'm going to wait and go into all the details in next week's article.
