Wild flowers don't care what the weeds think
Are You a Wild Flower?
Wild flowers don't follow anybody's rules.
If you're a wild flower, you don't have to follow any of society's rules. You do have to obey the laws, but you don't have to follow the rules.
When you're a wild flower, you don't have to stay in your lane. You can color outside the lines, and you're free to be weird.
I remember when I was in the first grade, my two favorite colors were red and purple. So one time I colored a girl's dress red and purple.
The teacher got all over my case, telling me that red and purple didn't go together. The way she was acting, you would have thought I had shot the Pope, but in the picture below, you can see red and purple wild flowers growing in the same field, and I think the colors look pretty—just like I did when I was in the first grade.
Now, I see red and purple dresses and shirts all the time.

You can be a wild flower and still stand out
As you can see in the picture below, a wild flower can stand out in a field of other wild flowers.
A wild flower can stand out even in a field of wild flowers
When you're a wild flower, you get to enjoy freedom, flexibility, and just the right amount of chaos.
As you're reading this on Saturday morning, I should be at 35,000 feet in a plane somewhere between Atlanta and Costa Rica. That is, if everything went according to schedule.
Since I have to leave Costa Rica every 180 days to keep my tourist visa legal, instead of stepping across the border into Nicaragua, getting my passport stamped and then stepping back into Costa Rica, I flew to the US this time to visit my son and pick up a few things. It was a quick 3-day trip.
Bottom line: Think about the little girl who said to her mother, "Am I weird?" Her mother said, "I would hope so. Life is more fun that way."
Remember that you don't have to follow society's rules and be normal. You can be a wild flower. After all, selling everything and moving to Costa Rica as I did doesn't exactly fit in with being normal.
