Did you Ever See an RV Parked in Front of a Psychiatrist's Office?
Probably not, because living the RV lifestyle is a relaxing and low-stress lifestyle.
At least, that's what I have experienced in my 3+ years as a full-time RVer. You're more likely to see an RV parked in a tranquil place like the one shown in the picture above.
I'm not saying that nothing ever goes wrong. There's always something to deal with, but it's just part of the journey. I could write a whole article about what goes wrong, and I'll do that soon, but this article is talking about the good things.
I had my annual physical this past week. When the doctor looked at my bloodwork and saw that my numbers were all well within the good range and saw that my cholesterol was 125 and my LDL cholesterol (the bad or lethal cholesterol) was at 56 (anything below 100 is considered good), he said, "I don't think I've ever seen LDL cholesterol that low. You must be living a very low-stress lifestyle."
I explained that I was living in my motorhome parked next to a river in the mountains, and there was no one parked nearby. He said, "That explains it."
By the way, the picture at the top of the page was made in New Zealand, so I probably won't take my motorhome there, but you can find relaxing places to park an RV regardless of where you are. In fact, I can't remember being in a place that wasn't relaxing (well, maybe overnighting in a Walmart parking wouldn't be considered relaxing, but it wasn't bad--and it was free).
Here is a relaxing place where I'm all by myself on the east coast of Florida near Sebastian Inlet.
Here is a place on the Gulf Coast of Florida that I consider relaxing with the beautiful sunsets. I'm not by myself here, but to me, it's a relaxing place.
Bottom line: The RVing lifestyle is not perfect, but it sure is a relaxing and low-stress life. If you're feeling stressed-out in your present lifestyle, consider living the RVing lifestyle. It's not for everybody. In fact, I don't even think it's the best lifestyle for most people, but I wouldn't want to live any other way. I do think it deserves some consideration. Obviously, you're giving it some consideration or you wouldn't be reading this article.
