Does your RV have personality?
Your RV is as unique as your dog. Whether your dog is a pedigree dog or a rescue dog, you love it just the same.
The same is true with RVs.
Of course, RVs come with a personality and look--just like dog did. Some people go out of their way to add even more personality to their RVs. Some people even start out with a rig that has a unique personality.
Take a look at the vintage pink camper and pink Cadillac convertible to tow it shown in the picture below:
I recently saw this RV and car in the campground where I'm staying. Actually, there was a rally here with a lot of vintage campers. It was fun looking at all of them.
If you look around almost any campground, you will see a lot of different RVs that have a unique look and personality. That's one of the fun parts of owning an RV. You can add your own personality to it.
Whether you have an old RV or a relatively new one, you can make it unique and make it have its own personality. In fact, having an older RV can be an advantage when it comes making it unique. I can see why people might hesitate to make a lot of changes to a newer RV, but when you have an old RV, there are a lot of things you can (and probably will) do to it to personalize it.
A $2,000 RV or a $2 million dollar RV?
Whether you have a $2,000 RV or a $2,000,000 RV (I've seen both in campgrounds recently), it doesn't have anything to do with how much fun you have with it or how much you enjoy it. If you had an expensive pedigree dog, do you think you would love it or have more fun with it than the rescue dog you have now? You know the answer to that question. The same is true with any RV you own.
One final thought: Walk around any RV park and see who seems to be having the most fun. In my experience, it's never the people in the most expensive RV. Most of the time I find that it's the people in the RV with the most personality.
Bottom line: If you're considering buying an RV, don't blow your budget. Spend less than you can afford and get an older RV, fix it up, add your own personality to it, and then go enjoy it. As an added bonus to fixing up an older RV, it will be worth more and you could likely make a profit on it, or at least, get your money back when you decide to sell it and get a different RV.
