Have you ever worked on your computer in a coffee shop?
Most RVers have not tried working on their computers in a coffee shop.
Maybe they've answered an email from their cell phone, but that's about it.
I'm talking about sitting down for an hour or two and maybe longer working on your computer.
Can you be productive in a coffee shop?
I've found it to be a very productive way for me to get work done.
There's usually some chatter in the background, but; it's more like white noise. It doesn't interfere with my work.
When I'm in my motorhome, there are always other things that keep popping into my head that I need to take care of. When I'm in a coffee shop, there's nothing I can do except work on the project in front of me.
What do managers think about you staying in their shop for hours?
Most coffee shops are not crowded, so you're not taking up a space the coffee shop needs.Of course, you'll buy a cup of coffee and maybe a muffin. Then, perhaps another cup of coffee later.
I've talked to coffee shop owners many times. They tell me they're happy to have people there working on their computers, occupying unused space, even if they're only spending a small amount of money.
Bottom line: Take your computer to a coffee shop for an hour or two and see what you think. Even if you don't have a pressing project to work on, send a long email to your mother. She would love to know more about what's going on in your world.
