I almost didn't make it
I spent this past week in the hospital.
I had a urinary tract infection, and I had an E. coli infection in my blood. My temperature went up above 104.
They stuck me to draw blood and put IVs in every six hours.
I was so sick I didn't think I was going to make it. The doctors were not sure either. I've never been that sick in my life.
At one time, I thought I had dodged a bullet, but I decided that a better description was that I didn't dodge a bullet, but instead, I got hit by a bullet and was lucky enough to survive.
Except for getting COVID two times, I haven't been sick in 20 years. I haven't even had a cold, but I sure made up for it this past week.
I'm back in my motorhome in the NC mountains but still weak. This afternoon, I walked about half a mile beside the river, which used up most of my energy.
I have been taking antibiotics by IV day and night for the last week, but now I'm well enough that I can take my antibiotics in pill form. That's why I was allowed to come home.
I have a follow-up appointment with my doctor on Tuesday. Maybe I'll be a lot better by then.
Bottom line: I won't be discussing anything about RVs this week, but next week I hope to be back in full swing.
