Is This RVer doing Something Adventurous or Stupid?
The best answer is that it depends.
It depends on many things, such as how fast the van is traveling (or is it even moving) and many other things we don't know.
Likewise, is living in an RV and camping in a breath-taking place in the middle of nowhere adventurous or stupid? A lot of RVers say it's the ultimate existence? Is it? Maybe so, and maybe not.
But bouncing down a rough interstate highway all day in a gas-guzzling RV isn't the cheapest, fastest, easiest, or most comfortable way to get there.
So why do RVers put up with this expensive, uncomfortable, and challenging way to travel and live and then claim they're having fun?
Maybe it's because living in an RV provides a mixture of emotions. It's not practical, but most RVers think it's the greatest way on the planet to live, and I agree with them. I love the RV lifestyle.
Do RVers live a simple life?
We sometimes claim that we live a simple life (maybe because that's the "in" thing to do these days), but living in an RV is anything but simple. It's challenging, complex, complicated, uncomfortable, tiring, and sometimes even scary.
An RV can be too hot or too cold, and it can shake so profusely when the wind blows that it's hard to sleep. And it seems like something on an RV is constantly breaking and wreaking havoc with your trip or budget.
Bottom line: But why do RVers continue to live this lifestyle? Why would we choose to live and travel in an RV when we could be sitting at home in a comfortable lounge chair with a remote control flipping through TV channels? I think it's mainly because of the adventure and freedom this lifestyle gives us.
