It's almost time to head south
There hasn't been much rain here lately, and as you can see in the above picture, the river behind my motorhome is low. It looks more like a creek than a river. It was up in the campground earlier in the summer. When we get a lot of rain, it turns into a roaring river and sometimes gets out of its banks.
It's getting cold here in the mountains. It's almost time to head south. I have a few things to get done before I pack up and leave the mountains.
One thing I want to get done is to finish installing my washer/dryer. I'm in the process of running electrical wires, installing an AC outlet, doing the plumbing for the drain, hot water, and cold water. Those projects always take way longer than I think they should.
Full-time Freedom Week
One other thing I'm going to be doing November 5th through the 9th is to go to Galveston, Texas, and attend the Full-time Freedom Week. There will be 30+ speakers, and if you're thinking about living in an RV, are already living in an RV, or if you're like me and have been living in an RV for a long time, I suggest you check this event out.
There will be a wealth of information presented. Regardless of where you are on your RVing endeavor, I'm sure you'll learn a lot.
It's all free, and you don't have to go to Galveston. You can watch it all live. I'm going to be at the live event in Galveston, and I would love to meet up with you if you're there. You can get all the details at the link below. Remember you can watch all the speakers live for free. Check it out at the link below and get the details.

As soon as I get back from Texas, I'll be heading to Florida. I plan to arrive in Florida on November 15th. I hope I don't get any snow before I leave, but I'll be pushing it. I'm in no hurry, so I'll take two days to get there. I'll stop and spend the night in a Walmart parking lot on the way.
Bottom line The leaves here are turning. That's when the birds start to head south--even the snowbirds. There's no snow here yet, but there were snow flurries last week. I hope everyone is staying warm.
