Living three lives
You've heard of people living a double life. The term is usually referring to having two families.
If you lived two lives and had two families, you would probably have two dogs. Every time you moved from one family to the other one, think about how happy your dog that you returned to would be to see you.
Having two dogs might be the best thing about living two different lives
Every case I've heard about somebody living two different lives sooner or later ended up going to hell in a handbasket. Of course, maybe I didn't hear about the cases that didn't end in a disaster.
I sometimes feel like I'm living three lives, but not in the sense the term normally describes. I don't have three wives. I don't even have one.
I have been living six months in the NC mountains, three months in Florida, and three months in Costa Rica. The three places are so different, it feels like I'm living a different life every time I move. In reality, I think I am living a totally different life in each area.
It's time to change my routine
Next winter I'm going to stay in Galveston, TX on the beach instead of going to Florida. It's time for a change.
Right now I'm in Costa Rica for the next three months. I'm not in my motorhome. I've rented an apartment. It's cheaper than renting a campground space. Here's a link to where I'm staying in Costa Rica.

I move around some when I'm in each area, but basically I have a home base where I camp most of the time in each area. I know a lot of RVers move every few days. When they do that, they don't stay in one place long enough for it to feel like home. I used to do that, but I found that I like staying in one place for longer periods of time now.
One day back in July my son was saying that the temperature was in the mid-90s in Knoxville, TN where he lives. I checked the weather here in the North Carolina Mountains and the high temperature for the day was scorching 64 degrees. I had my electric heater on.
Bottom line: By living three different lives, I get to stay where the temperature is comfortable year-round. It's just one of the joys of living in an RV.
