No haircut for three months
The picture at the top of the page shows what my long, white, wild hair is starting to look like.
The Bible says that Samson got strength from his long hair. Einstein got wisdom from something. I assume it was from his long, wild hair.
I wonder what I'm going to get from my hair.
Maybe I'll get wisdom and strength both. So far, I'm not noticing an increase in either one. Perhaps it takes time.
I haven't had a haircut in almost three months, and I don't see me getting one in the next month or so. Maybe I'll start looking like Big Foot.
When I get back to the U.S. and call my barber, I expect him to say that he's all booked up for the rest of 2020, but he can work me in by mid-2021.
Are we like birds?
I saw a documentary recently describing how some birds choose mates. After the process was over, the male birds who didn't get a mate would fly off to an apple tree and eat the rotting and fermenting apples on the ground.
Of course, the fermenting apples were full of alcohol. In other words, birds who were unlucky and disappointed in love went and got drunk.
It sounds a lot like what many humans do.
Final update on my stalk of bananas
Here is a picture of my stalk of bananas that I have been talking about in my last two articles. (When nothing is going on, it doesn't take much to become exciting news.)
A little bit after this picture was taken, they all got ripe. I've been eating about 10 a day, and now I've eaten most of them. They sure were sweet. It's going to be rough when I get back to the U.S. and have to start paying dearly for bananas, and then find out that they are not nearly as sweet.
Bottom line: This article doesn't have much to do with RVing except to show you the freedom you have as an RVer to park your RV for a few months, cancel the collision insurance, and go spend time in another country with interesting people, and experience the cultural differences. And you can do all of this for less per month than the cost of renting a space at a campground for a month. RVing gives you freedom.
