RVing in the snow
RVing in the snow can be fun. A lot of RVers love camping in the snow.
Looking at fresh snow while enjoying your morning coffee, what a way to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Here are some examples of RVers enjoying camping in the snow.
To each his own
I don't like camping in the snow. I'll admit that some of the pictures of snow scenes are beautiful, but I'm content to look at the pictures and let other people camp in the snow and take the pictures.Since my house has wheels, it should never see snow
At least, that's my goal, but I haven't been very successful in achieving that goal for the last few years. I've ended up camping in the snow for a few days every year for the previous four years. Here are some examples.
Here is a picture I shot at my campground in the North Carolina Mountains three years ago. Obviously, I didn't leave soon enough. I left a month earlier this year, but I still got some snow.
There was some snow in the North Carolina Mountains before I left to go to Galveston back in early November. The weather has mostly been in the 70s this year since I've been here in Galveston, but below is a picture of when I was here last year in Feb. 2021.
Kids enjoy playing in the snow
They especially like it if they've never seen snow before. I think most kids like playing in the snow, even if they see it every year. I know I did, but not now.
Over the Christmas Holidays, a friend of mine who spends a lot of her time RVing in Florida was camping in the Florida panhandle. She decided to fly to Connecticut with her six-year-old daughter to spend Christmas with her sister and let her daughter see snow for the first time.
You know what they say about plans. Yep. There was no snow in Connecticut while they were there, but it did snow on her RV that she left in the Florida panhandle.
I'm not the only RVer who doesn't like camping in the snow. Florida, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico are full of RV snowbirds who don't like snow.
