RVing won't make you happy

Becoming an RVer or a digital nomad won't make you happy.

If you're unhappy in your present life, changing where or how you live will not make you happier.

You can have more fun, and life is more enjoyable when you're doing something you enjoy, but happiness comes from within.

Many people spend their entire lives saying, "I'll be happy when . . ." You can fill in the blank, but some say when the kids get out of school when I retire when my mortgage is paid off, and the list goes on and on.

They don&##x27;t look like they&##x27;re happy. That&##x27;s for sure.

They don't look like they're happy. That's for sure.

The words of Jimmy Buffett's famous song, "Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude . . ." will help you have more fun—at least for a short time, but this won't make you happier with yourself.

Another verse in the song says, "If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane." A big part of laughing is laughing at yourself. As a friend told me, "If you can't laugh at yourself, let me know, and I'll laugh at you." We all need a friend like that.

The old saying that wherever you go, there you are describes the situation.

The problem is that when you go somewhere, you always take yourself with you, and you're the cause of your unhappiness. It's hard to admit, but it's true.

Bottom line: There are a lot of good reasons to live in an RV or become a digital nomad, but expecting it to fix all your problems and make you happy should not be one of them—because it won't happen. Change your attitude, and you will be happy.
