A relaxing beach in Costa Rica
Free audiobook and how this website will be changing
Things in the world change, and life moves on. You might say that it's a new chapter in my life and in the life of this website.
My two websites, www.LifeRV.com and www.aLaptopLife.com will be combined into one website. Both URLs will bring you to the same website.
If you've been following this website lately, you know that I'm in the process of selling my motorhome and moving to Costa Rica.
As exciting as living and traveling in an RV can be, it can sometimes feel like you're on autopilot doing and seeing the same things over and over. I'm ready for a change.
Don't get me wrong. Living and traveling in my motorhome for the past 12 years has been absolutely amazing. I've enjoyed every minute of it. Well, maybe not the two times I was stranded beside the road with a blown-out tire on the dolly, but even those times proved interesting.
What should I do when I grow up?
I'm almost 83, and maybe it's time to decide what I want to do when I grow up. I'm sure you've heard the old saying that getting old is mandatory, but growing up is optional. That describes the way I feel. I don't want to grow up. I want to keep having adventures.
I have sold my dolly, and I've left my motorhome in Florida with a consignment company, PPL Motors. Hopefully, it will be sold soon.
There will still be plenty of articles about RVing on this website. After living and traveling in my motorhome for over 12 years, I have a lot to say about RVing that I haven't gotten to yet, but the articles won't be exclusively about living in an RV.
The new website, aLaptopLife.com, will cover topics such as:
- Writing, publishing, and marketing books
-
Being a digital nomad
-
Living the RV lifestyle
-
Traveling to foreign countries
-
Living part-time in a foreign country
- And anything to do with living a laptop life
You don't have to do anything
Your membership will be automatically switched over to the new website, and your membership will still be free. And, of course, if you find that the topics on the new website are not of interest to you, then you can opt-out at any time. The name of the website will change, and the banner at the top of the page will change, but all of the past articles and content will still be available on the site.
I will be leaving on a 10-day cruise on Monday, and when I return, I'll be driving from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, to Tennessee to leave my car with my son. Then, I'll fly to Costa Rica on Dec. 9th, so there won't be an article or the Tip of the Week email for the next two weeks.
Life, like books, has chapters
The new website will describe a new chapter in my life, and I want to bring you along on the journey. I may even start including some videos. You probably subscribed to this website because you wanted to learn about living in an RV, but maybe you also wanted to learn how to be free and live life on your own terms.
Bottom line: I think you'll find the new version of this website informative and interesting. Living in Costa Rica will be a different life for me, and I'm happy to bring you along. I want to create content that matters to me and, hopefully, to you.
P.S. The audiobook version of my latest book is finally live. If you would like to have a complimentary copy of it, send me an email at [email protected] with the word audiobook in the subject line, and I'll send you a promo code that will allow you to download a free copy.
